Buying off plan requires some imagination and vision but can be extremely worthwhile if a client is prepared to buy into a concept.

Most developers release properties initial prices to generate early sales and to evaluate interest. Once construction starts and sales materialise, prices generally increase along with the market value for the product. Purchasers who buy off-plan often enjoy capital appreciation in a short time.

However, not everyone is able to visualise the end product from drawings or plans and some purchasers are not prepared to commit without seeing the finished product. Even when work is well underway, a property can look smaller and less inviting when a bare shell is all there is to see.
